GETTING TO AND FROM LIBERIA AIRPORT

Liberia Airport (LIR) is the closest major airport to Tamarindo, located approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away by car. Allow plenty of time for your journey to the airport, particularly if traveling during peak hours or on weekends. It’s advisable to book your shuttle or private transfer in advance, especially during the high season (December to April)

1. Adobe Rent a Car - A reliable option with a wide range of vehicles. You can pick up your rental car at the airport and drop it off in Tamarindo.

CURRENCY ADVICE
The official currency of Costa Rica is the Costa Rican Colón (CRC). However, US dollars are widely accepted in tourist areas like Tamarindo.
